Robert Mondavi was among the first to recognize Chile´s potential as a fine wine producing country when he visited the country in 1985. In 1991 he met Eduardo Chadwick, President of Viña Errázuriz. Both partners share a passion for quality and a strong belief in Chile´s potential for producing world class wines. In 1996 they decided to join forces in the pursuit of a common dream : producing fine wines that could be counted among Chile´s best. The result of their joint vision are the wines of Seña and Arboleda.
First released in 1999, Arboleda wines are made from fruit grown under strict sustainable viticultural practices from some of the best vineyards in the most prestigious viticultural regions of Chile. The viticulturists and winemaker work closely together, rigourously selecting the grapes long before the start of the harvest.
The aim is to make well structured, concentrated wines which show great complexity, reflecting their different terroirs and offering superb quality for value.
In November 2004, Eduardo Chadwick acquired 100% ownership of Arboleda from the Mondavi family and the wines will now be based in the Aconcagua Valley.
